Cardio is probably the simplest of exercises. You walk into a gym and hop on the nearest treadmill, step machine or bicycle. With benefits ranging from stress relief to decreasing risk of developing hypertension it is pretty easy to see the allure.

Since it is pretty easy to describe different ways to perform cardio we will refrain from explaining simple cardio and focus more on HIIT and ways to change up your routine.

The most important thing to remember about cardio is not to get stuck in a rut. Be sure to change up the types of cardio you perform often to optimize results (see here).
